It is valid for 70 minutes from validation on public transport or trains.

Information about Metropolitan Tickets

On the basis of Metropolitan Tickets passengers may travel during their validity period in the area of ​​the ticket zone/zones for which it was purchased:

  • by all vehicles of Public Transport in Kraków,
  • by trains and buses of Koleje Małopolskie,
  • by POLREGIO trains (excluding commercial trains),
  • by Koleje Śląskie trains (excluding commercial trains),
  • by municipal transport vehicles – from August 1, 2023, the offer to honor the Metropolitan Ticket includes: Wieliczka, Skawina, Niepołomice, Michałowice, Wielka Wieś and Zielonki.

Metropolitan Ticket area

The offer of the Metropolitan Ticket includes concessions (discount fares) depending on the ticket purchase channel by the passenger, e.g. in the case of purchasing a ticket on the website of the Public Transport in Kraków, eligibility for the concession in force in the Public Transport in Kraków must be proven on trains. Free travel eligibility, including free ride tickets, are not honored. The Metropolitan Ticket must be returned to the Operator from whom the ticket was purchased.

How do I obtain a Kraków City Card (KKM)?

The Kraków City Card is a personal electronic medium for a season ticket. To become a user of the KKM system and purchase a season ticket for the first time, while simultaneously receiving a free KKM card, visit one of the Passenger Service Points and there:

  • fill in the appropriate application (also available below for download),
  • present a document confirming identity,
  • submit a photo.

When your personal data changes to the extent that it also needs to be changed on the KKM card, you should go to any Passenger Service Point to update it. In the event that the KKM card is lost or damaged due to the user’s fault, go to any Passenger Service Point in order to receive a duplicate card along with the recently purchased valid season ticket. The cost of issuing a duplicate card is 12 PLN.


How do I obtain the Małopolska Agglomeration Card (MKA)?

The Małopolska Agglomeration Card is a personal electronic medium for a season ticket. To become a user of the MKA system, you should go to one of the MKA Customer Service Points with a document confirming your identity (and additionally providing a photo) in order to collect a personalized MKA card (issued free of charge), on which the first season ticket will be registered. It is also possible to order the card through the MKA website and then collect it in person at the MKA Customer Service Point or choose the option of postal delivery.

Complaints regarding the distribution of KMK tickets in the Kraków City Card system (stationary KKM ticket machines, mobile ticket machines, Electronic Passenger Account, mKKM application) can be made by phone – 12 19 150 (phone number available 24 hours a day; the call charge is based on the local operator’s rate) or sent to e-mail reklamacje@kkm.krakow.pl.

Free travel on Public Transport in Kraków

Eligible persons

Kraków Family Card in the form of a personalized smart card or mobile application with a free travel ticket record

Children from families with many children, i.e. families in which parents have at least three dependent children (including children in foster care) aged up to 18 years of age, or up to 24 years of age in the case of a child continuing education, or without age limit in the case of a child with certified significant disability, permanently residing in the intercommunal integration area.   • only on the route: from the place of residence of the eligible person to the educational institution or other special institution (educational institution, therapy center, health care facility, etc.) attended by the eligible person and back (this right is limited to the shortest route)

For the eligible person: a valid school ID card, issued to pupils with an identified need for special education due to a disability

 

For the guardian: a certificate issued by the establishment attended by the eligible pupil stating the name and address of the establishment and the address of residence of the eligible pupil
