Eligible persons

Basis of entitlement/document confirming eligibility¹

Children from birth until 30 September of the year in which they turn 7

A declaration by the parent or guardian
^or an official document from the child or parents (guardians) allowing the age of the child to be determined

Pupils of primary schools conducted in the area of intercommunal integration², in the period from 1 September to 30 June

Valid school ID card for a pupil of a primary school located in an inter-municipal integration area*²

* issued according to the model specified by the minister responsible for education and upbringing

Children and adolescents participating in the programme entitled Kraków Family Card 3+

Kraków Family Card in the form of a personalised smart card with a free travel ticket record

Children from families with many children, i.e. families in which parents have at least three dependent children (including children in foster care) aged up to 18 years of age, or up to 24 years of age in the case of a child continuing education, or without age limit in the case of a child with certified significant disability, permanently residing in the area covered by intercommunal integration*

* Eligibility covers children and adolescents in education up to the age of 24

A free travel registered ticket, issued on a smart card medium, for a period of 1 year

(entitlement is valid until the end of the validity of the ticket issued)

Pupils of family orphanages and family-type educational-care centres, together with the persons in charge and their children

^and pupils of foster care institutions

^and children from large professional foster families

permanently residing in an inter-municipal integration area

A free travel registered ticket, issued on a personalised smart card, for a period of 1 year

Children with disabilities and other members of families covered by the Kraków for “N” Family programme as well as children with disabilities placed in care and educational institutions benefiting from this programme and their guardians

Kraków Card for Families with a Disabled Child in the form of a personalised identification card

Children up to the age of 18 with disabilities due to: hearing disorders

^or visual impairment,

^or musculoskeletal disorders,

^or neurological conditions

with a guardian accompanying them on the vehicle

Disabled person’s ID card or certificate, indicating one of the disability cause symbols:

• “03-L”, “L”, “§26(1)(i)” together with a medical certificate confirming the hearing impairment
• “01-U”, “U”, “§26(1)(c)”
• “04-O”, “O”, “§26(1)(h)”

Pupils with special educational needs attending primary, secondary and post-primary schools with a guardian who travels:

• with the eligible person, to pick up the eligible person or to take the eligible person
• only on the route: from the place of residence of the eligible person to the educational institution or other special institution (educational institution, therapy centre, health care facility, etc.) attended by the eligible person and back (this right is limited to the shortest route)

For the eligible person: a valid school ID card, issued to pupils with an identified need for special education due to a disability

For the guardian: a certificate issued by the establishment attended by the eligible pupil stating the name and address of the establishment and the address of residence of the eligible pupil 

Disabled persons with a certificate of: a severe disability

^or total incapacity for work and incapacity for self-support

^or incapacity for self-support

^or a first disability group

with a guardian accompanying them on the vehicle

Disabled person’s ID card or certificate, specifying severe disability

People with a mental disability with a recognised moderate level of disability³

Disability certificate or certificate indicating a moderate degree of disability, with one of the disability cause symbols: “01-U”, “U”, “§26(1)(c)” with a document confirming the identity of the eligible person

Persons over 70 years of age

A document with a photograph confirming the age and identity of the eligible person

People who have donated free of charge:

• at least 18 litres of whole blood or an equivalent volume of other blood components – men,
• at least 15 litres of whole blood or an equivalent volume of other blood components – women

Pass confirming the award of the badge “Distinguished Voluntary Blood Donor” for donating 15/18 litres of blood

^or a card of the Voluntary Blood Donor with an appropriate entry, certified by the stamp of the Blood Donor Centre

together with a document confirming identification of the eligible person

Persons who are disadvantaged due to wartime and post-war repression³

ID card of a victim of repression*

• or check the quality of service on KMK vehicles

during the performance of their duties

Blind civilian victims of warfare and their guides⁴
